The Moment for Ink
This exhibition of historical and contemporary ink painting in America reminds us that Asian culture has important international expressions. It spans 120 years and features about 150 works by nearly 50 historical and contemporary artists who have extended the legacy of ink painting during their careers in the United States. It is co-organized by the Fine Arts Gallery with CCCArts of the Chinese Culture Foundation, in association with the Asian Art Museum and Silicon Valley Asian Art Center. The exhibition will be presented at all venues before traveling to China.
This project is made possible by grants from the National Endowment for the Arts and Terra Foundation for American Art.
Opening reception: February 23, 1 to 3pm.
Gallery hours: Wednesdays through Saturdays, 11am to 4pm. Free.
