The Streets of San Francisco

Referencing the iconic 1970s police drama filmed throughout the City, The Streets of San Francisco features artists from the 1930s to the present, celebrating the San Francisco where locals live, learn, work and play. While well-known films from Ant-Man to Zodiac have been set here, the works of visual artists present an intimate view of San Francisco. Neighborhoods featured include the Bayview, Chinatown, Excelsior, Mission, Potrero, Presidio and Sunset.

Featuring Robert Bechtle, Jessica Dunne, Henry Kiyama, Kari Orvik, Adam Paniagua, Barbara Ramos, Rico Solinas Lynn Sondag, Charles Wong, and Zig Jackson. We will screen episodes of Thrasher Magazine's online series This Old Ledge, hosted by art and skate historian Ted Barrow, exploring San Francisco's legendary skateboarding spots, along with the interactive online mapping game Name SF Streets developed by Chris Arvin. 

This exhibition is part of the 2027 Further Triennial being held across Northern California.
